Subject: RE: gear First and foremost, find something that you are comfortable in and wear it a couple of times to train in. I've said it before, and I say it again, at every race I've seen someone who is racing for the first time in new gear and it is reacting in ways they didn't expect. They spend more time adjusting than they do racing.
I personally just swim in Desoto Tri Shorts and then put on a micro fiber shirt and bike and run in it. That works for me! I like the tri shorts because the pad is not as thick and the pad in the bike short. I have some friends that race in tri suits and I have seen people race in blue jean shorts and kick some tail.
Try to get your gear within the next week so you can grow comfortable with it.
Good luck and can't wait to hear your race report!
Still Tri'n
