Subject: Lap/Split function
Forgive my denseness....I can't figure out how to use the lap/split function on my watch. I have the instructions, I just don't get when to use it. What's the Big Picture.Can anyone help me? Thanks millions

The lap setting will display the time for your last completed lap.  The split function displays the accumlated time for all laps completed.

For example, if you're running one minute laps on a track, the lap setting will display '1:00' after each lap.

In split mode, the display woould show '1:00' after the first lap, then '2:00' after the second lap, '3:00' after the third lap, and so on. 

For examples, if I'm in the pool, I use the lap function to see how consistent my 100 yard repeat laps are.  In a race, l've used the split function to see where I am at a certain point on the course versus my goal finishing time.
