Subject: Running Routes in Downtown San Antonio??

Hello fellow BTers

I am heading to San Antonio next week and I would like to keep my training as consistent as possible while down there.

So, my question......does anybody have any recommendations for running routes in downtown??  I am looking for some long distance routes of about 10 miles.  I would prefer some trails if available, but will run on the sidewalks if nothing else is available.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Are you stuck in downtown or will you have a car? If you can get out of the downtown area there are some trail options available to you. You should have no trouble running in the downtown area if you don't mind sidewalks. I'll ask a coworker when he comes in tonight about the Mission trail system for you. I believe it starts at the Alamo and winds south. Some of it is trail and some streets. http://www.nps.gov/saan/planyourvisit/upload/SAANmap1.pdf I have never been on it ,but he did tell me the Boy Scouts use it for a hiking activity. PM me if you wish and I'll see if i can come up woth some other trails or parks in the mean time.
