Subject: 2 week taper/rest before race?I have been training for my first oly distance which is scheduled for Sat. Unfortunately work has gotten hectic and I have not been able to train (except 1.2mile swim a week ago ) for the past 2 weeks. This race was going to be a challenge for me, but I have done 3 sprint races earlier this summer and have gotten progressively better. Question: Is 2 weeks without training going to put me back too far? I'm pretty sure that I can physically finish out of determination, but I don't know about injury or if it wont be too bad...suggestions or experience? Thanks, Cam. |
