Subject: Which Sprint tri for First one?

Hi all!

Just introed myself in the Intro thread, wanted to say hi and introduce myself to my neighbors.  Also ask your advice as to which tri to shoot for in the spring beg of summer next year to do as my first?  Live in the South Bend area, so would like something some what close if possible, but if there is one that is far and above the best to do as a newbie would consider that.  Thank you in advance for the info.

Hi Mel welcome aboard,

I don't know of any in the SB area in the spring, there was a indoor tri early in the year in South Bend, but other than that not much. Kalamazoo MI. has a sprint at the beginning of June, I guessing the water is still pretty cold around May and June. There is a longer Olympic distance in Angola that some of the BT'ers do. I've done the River City Tri in Logansport that last two years and it's a good race, the best water I have swam in.
