Subject: RE: Question about Michelin P3 clinchersI just replaced my rear Pro 3 Race this weekend due to the same issue. I have about 500 miles on mine and the front was fine, but the rear had developed several gouges/cuts/nicks on the first couple of rides. Looking closely at the tire after I pulled it off, it seemed like it was mostly a cosmetic issue. None of them went very deep and the inside of the tire seemed structurally sound. With my first HIM this weekend, I didn't want to take any chances though. I considered switching tires, but with the front holding up well, I figured I'd just run over a nasty patch of glass or something. Since I like them otherwise and haven't had any flats so far (knock on wood) I'm giving it one more go. |
