Swim
Comments: i kept a steady, strong effort throughout. being a shorter distance, i never really let and kept moving from group. i was well up into the first wave of swimmers. course was a little tough to navigate since they didn't have consistent corner buoys Transition 1
Comments: no major issues here. i had my bike stuff in a bag to keep it relatively dry so this added a little bit of time to my transition. also, there a bit of a jog to the transition area after the swim. overall, though, no major problems Bike
Comments: with the conditions being wet and potentially cool, i wore a vest on the bike. I may not have needed it, but it made me feel more comfortable Transition 2
Comments: again, having my gear in a bag keeping them dry made my transition a little slower. Run
Comments: i probably didn't need the vest on the run since it started to get quite humid once it stopped raining, but I didn't want to take the time to remove it so I just unzipped it. i felt really smooth and comfortable on the run. i never felt tired or like i couldn't keep up the pace. i ran at the exact pace i have trained for. Post race
