Could use a little bit of advice here  ...

I've been riding a new Trek 2.1 for a couple of months now, and from day-one it has always been a very comfortable ride.  On the advice from a few friends whom I respect when it comes to cycling, I broke the bike in a bit before going in for a really pro fitting appointment.  During that time, I began getting a little "numb in the saddle" from the stock Bontrager saddle, so I thought I'd try out the Adamo road saddle.  Got one, put it on by myself and just rode.

So, I figured that now was as good a time as any to get a pro fitting and I made an appointment.  Went in, did all the measuring, hooked the bike up to a trainer and did some riding while being measured again ... usual stuff.  The thing is, at the end of all this, all we did was move the saddle back a couple of millimeters.  Apparently, I had pretty much nailed the saddle/seat post height, and I had the saddle on at a near perfect angle.

I did all this by eye-balling everything and just tweaking for comfort.  Really, I've only been seriously cycling for about 9 months and this is only my second bike, so I really don't know what to expect from a pro fitting ... just that I expected more than a few millimeters on the saddle.

The fitting came with the purchase of the bike, so I'm not out any cash.  But is this normal?  Unheard of?  Do I need a second opinion?

As I said, the bike has been 100% comfortable since the first ride so I have no reason to complain, but with all the talk around here about getting a proper fit, I'm just curious as to whether or not I need to look further.

I know, I know ... shut up and ride lots, HTFU, etc., etc.

A proper fitting will get you into, or very close to, an anatomically perfect position. Some times a little tweaking is needed, and sometimes not. Seems like you did well.
