Anyone else worried about those t'storm forecasts?  This is my forst tri and would hate to have it cancelled after all of this training!

The forecast I just read is indicating a 40% chance. There are still over 100 spots open for the race -- I'm thinking about signing up, but I guess I'll have to decide by tomorrow, 4/29.

It would be my first as well, and I've never done an open water swim, but I think the sprint length is doable for me (though slowly) with my current fitness level.

I would be driving over to SML (1.5 hours) the morning of the event, and I have a cast-iron schedule commitment back home (child #2 choral performance) at 2pm that day, so it would be a tight day for me to get it all in.

Still contemplating...
