Subject: Looking for a bike for my first tri
I have been wanting to do a tri for a while now but don't have a bike. I've been looking around more seriously lately and was a little shocked by how much a bike costs. The local bike store I went to had a good starting Scott road bike starting around $620. I went and looked on craigslist and found this Cervelo (see attached picture) used for $500.The Cervelo (I don't know the model) seems like it would a good deal, but I'm curious if I would start to dislike it for say maybe riding to work once or twice a week (20ish miles) vs. a normal road bike that may be more comfortable.Any help deciding or identifying the cervelo would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Comfort is much more of an individual thing, and not so much a tri vs road bike thing.  The bike has to fit you.

$500 for that bike is probably a good price, if it is in good condition.  If it doesn't fit you, though, you are wasting your money.
