Subject: Which Category to compete in?
I would love to do a "du" as I have friends that compete and I just love the energy. Here is the question(s).. Where to compete age or "weight".. First of all I am 6'3" and 210. Even if I train hard I don't go below 200. I am also 52 (sigh) so I assume I can compete in the somewhere north of 40 class. I also don't swim (sink) and running is out as my knees and shins got nuked from running at an earlier age.. So it comes down to being part of a relay team.

Can I put together a team for a relay? If so do we compete in age, weight or just in there with every one else? I would bike as I have road raced for year so to relay do we have bike, run and swim or is it just bike and run? Is it mixed sexes etc?

Have fun and thanks:-)

You'll have to check w/ the specific race because every race can be different based on number of participants or the RD's discretion.

I've done some races where all teams raced against each other regardless of age, sex or weight of the members.

I've seen some w/ 3 team categories - men, women and mixed.

But I havent seen age or weight as a category for teams
