Inserting pictures

I have tried and tried again to insert pictures on this web site and have failed at it every time. I have resized them and still end up with no picture just that annoying little box with some circle and triangle in it. Can some one please walk me through posting a picture on this site………….

First, upload the pictures to a BT Album, or to a photo hosting site like flickr.com or shutterfly.com. Then, right-click on the picture; click Properties. Copy the URL (you know, http://www.etc.com)./>
To insert a picture here on BT, click the icon of the tree in the toolbar. Paste the the URL into the window. Click Enter (or Insert, whatever is the button there) and the picture should show up!
