Subject: seat adjustments when using aerobars
In my tri there was a horrible headwind and I was going faster more easily in the regular road bike position than in the aero position which was frustrating.  Then I read somewhere that seat height is one of the differences between a road and a tri bike.

Does anyone know the general rule of thumb for a tri bike fit?
Thanks.

I don't know what the rule of thumb is but I move the seat forward 1 inch and and raise it 1/2 inch. That seems to work best for me in terms of my body angles when in the aero position.
