Subject: Bike trailer for baby: Portability question

Hubby and I are looking into getting a bike trailer to tow the 11 month old and have seen a lot of opinions on Chariot, Burley etc.  I assume like all other things, you get what you pay for in a bike trailer.

My biggest concern is portability. We generally head to a local off-road paved trail system so will need to carry the trailer in the hatchback of our Toyota Matrix. Currently we can fit the folded BOB in the back as well as other assorted crap with no problems. Can anyone comment on how easy it is to fold up a bike trailer? I assume we'll have to take the wheels off to make it fit. Is it a major pain to take wheels off and put back on??  No one local carries any decent models so I can't try them out in person (yes, I'm assuming that the cheapie Schwinns and other models at Target and Walmart won't meet our needs)

We have the Chariot Cougar II. Getting the wheels on and off and putting it in the back of our Mazda 5 take less than 30 seconds. The stroller is big though. We were looking into buying a Dodge Caliber and the stroller wouldn't lay flat in the back. Not a big deal if you only have one child, but we were trying to plan ahead for our next one too.  The single seater is alot smaller though, so if you are just planning on one, that might be the way to go.

I cannot say enough about the quality of the Chariot brand though. Absolutely love it.
