I'm watching TV and a local dealer is touting how you can purchase a new Nissan Maxima for just $229/month.

Something looked odd so I backed it up and read the fine print:
Maximum cost of Maxima $44,995.  Requires a $36,643 down payment.  60 months to qualified buyers at 5.9%APR.


Really?!  Someone will walk in with $36k and finance another $9k?
