Subject: Newbie from Utah Hi all, Just joined BT and excited to get to know people here. I'm a big guy (5'10" 280 ) just starting on the path back to fitness. I was a swimmer in HS so that part is good for me. I can walk/jog a 5K in about an hour and swim 1000 yards with breaks every 100 yards for a minute. Haven't been on the bike yet this year. One big challenge is a I live in the foothills of the mountains ... very steep around here. That's an issue for the walks too but at least you can slow to a shuffle. Not sure I could make it up the hill to my house on a bike. Anyway, planning on doing the 22 week Total Sprint program here designed for big guys. P.S. I got talked into a 5K Fun Run on 7/5 ... so that should be interesting. |
