Apparently a cyclist was intentionally hit by a person who admitted he was drunk, due to some words exchanged between the parties.

I can't imagine why, based on what I read there wouldn't be an arrest. I think it sends a dangerous message that if you hit a cyclist it's not a big deal.

Doesn't surprise me--those people out in the Valley are total hicks!

But seriously, i?t sounds like they didn't arrest him because he turned himself in and is cooperating. The assault charge could still be pretty serious.
