Pre-race routine:

had pizza night before, went to bed early.
Event warmup:

jumped up and down alot, tried to strech. ran in place for a couple minutes. i know i could have done a heck of a lot more to warm up.

still to cold when i got in pool. managed to pace myself much better, but by end of 3 laps was feeling a little winded. felt like i was getting into it by lap 5.
What would you do differently?:

warm up you foolish girl!

feet got stuck pulling on my shorts. no problem getting shoes on. Ran in bare feeet from pool to T1, think that helped.
What would you do differently?:

Easier to put on bike shorts. Maybe shorter, so they aren't so hard to pull up.

my legs got very tired very quickly, the hills seemed to kill me and i had no energy. i think i convinced my self very early on that i was doing poorly and so i did.
What would you do differently?:

better overall attitude. don't worry if people pass you, don't let it get to you.

wow, broke the 30 minute mark. felt good about the run. first mile was hard, felt like i was going real slow, but managed to keep it up. passed people in the second half. managed to real sprint last tenth of a mile.

need to sprint sooner, over all pace faster.
