Subject: Ounce of Prevention During my morning run a cyclist passed me wearing black tights, a dark navy blue compression jersey with no bright logos, and a black helmet while riding a black bike. There is a reason that most cycling jerseys are obnoxiously bright and colorful. Cycling involves some risk because many drivers don't like to share the road and many just are not observant which puts cyclist at risk.
My two cents - when riding you should make yourself visible. I am not suggesting that you wear head to toe neon yellow or that you attach a 6 foot orange flag to your tri bike, but I do suggest using some prudence by wearing visible clothing.
