Subject: New Huntington Beach Event - Beach Derby
For those who are still lamenting the discontinuation of the 5K with the Surf City Marathon/HM, I just got a notice for a new shorter race in HB in November, including 10 mile and 10K runs.  Link here.

The Beach Obstacle Challenge sounds like a hoot!

I'll be there, it's a Snails Pace Running Club club-race. It's not brand new, they've done it for some time now (50 years?), but some of the distances are new - I believe it's normally just a 5 mile and 10 mile (or 5K and 10K?). Not sure which distance I'll be doing, most likely the 10 mile though.
