Swim
Comments: Didn't start until After 8am, water was 83+ degrees on Sat, Sunday they found a spot under 78, so wetsuit legal. Mine was home in the closet. Cool breeze was blowing all morning. at 4am it was 55 degrees out. It was still a nice swim. Fighting a case of Anemia, so NOT drowning at the employer sponsored event was a real accomplishment for me. Fell on the sand getting out and had to get back in to get the sand off of me. The run to transition seemed really long. What would you do differently?: Bring my wetsuit -just in case! Transition 1
Comments: Transition seemed like a quarter of a mile! What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Pretty good ride, just need to train more on the bike with hills. What would you do differently?: change the band on my Garmin from the velcro quick release to a regular band. Transition 2
Comments: Transition still seemed like a 1/4 mile. Had to make a pit stop so that also slowed my time. What would you do differently?: quick lace shoes. Run
Comments: Only passed by 1 person in my age group. What would you do differently?: Train smarter over the summer, not get anemia, kidney stone, or strain some of the muscles. Post race
Warm down: Walked around venue, ate 2 cookies, 2 bananas, bottle of water, and a gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: Anemia. Last updated: 2011-09-05 12:00 AM
