Subject: Looking For A Plan
I have been building a base since June in all three sports. I am looking for a winter training program to have me set to compete in early summer. Any ideas of what to use? I swim 1200 yds 3 times a week. I'm running twice a week (45 minutes) and I'm biking about 30 miles a week (will be moving inside due to weather in the great white north). I also try to do 2 strength sessions a week.

Is that 2x45min run per week and 30miles of biking total per week?  Whats your longest bike session per week?

Also, what distance are you aiming to race in early summer?

A few simple things that come to mind is if you just want to use the 16 or 20 week plans thats just time/based (free) on the site, pick the one that will lead you up to race day, THEN from now to the beginning of where that plans starts, make a general plan to go up in volume (if needed) to start that plan by the start date - so your ready.  no more than 10% increase a week, have an easy week once a month.

I don't have any specific 'winter training' programs.  Just the general 'minutes only' to serve as a template for further modification.

Also check out the silver/gold level 4-7 and 7-10 hour winter maintenance plans...and couple that with a sprint or oly race plan from the same section.  if your looking for specific workouts and better performance, that is an alternative too.
