Run
Comments: This was my first time walking a race. I walked because I've had an injury that prevents me from running. Since I'll be doing a marathon in about a month I wanted to get an idea of what it felt like walking a race. It was actually a lot of fun. I got to see the fastest people finish and cheer them on. And I was able to enjoy myself more and not feel so rushed. I stopped and picked a flower, spoke to all the race volunteers along the way, enjoyed the scenery, and still finished with a decent pace for walking. What would you do differently?: Not feel down so much before the race because I can't run. Remeber how much fun I had walking this one and really enjoy every part of it. Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the car, which was half a mile or so. Event comments: It was wonderful racing with all women! Last updated: 2006-03-16 12:00 AM
