E-mail formatting

I have been just living with it for the past 4 years or so--the body of the e-mails from forum replies doesn't format the HTML correctly. It shows all the HTML (the non-BT-specific stuff like <p><br><i> etc). I thought it was just my e-mail provider but I switched the account that BT uses to send the messages and it still doesn't show up correctly. I've looked through the settings and can't find a way to change the type of messages that are sent. Am I missing something? Am I just going to have to keep living with it?
