Subject: Kick training in the poolI have just set off with the 20 week half ironman programme with 17 weeks to go?!? I know i can do it and will drop a couple of weeks early on so i can get back into Sync with the plan. My question is regarding the swim part and in particular the kick sections. I have noticed that a few weeks in the pool session asks you to do 500m kick. Now i dont know if its just me, but that seems like hell to me. My pool do not allow me to use training fins, so i was wondering if there were any alternative ways in which i could do this part of the swim session. I was thinking to kick with breaststroke arms and front crawl kick... I can see me getting lazy with my legs though? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Paul |
