Swim
Transition 1
Comments: T1 felt good, hill to on-ramp from the start was tough but welcomed after the swim. Bike
Comments: Felt pretty good on the bike. Gatorade bottle needed to be watered down a little more. Filled the bottle with ice and then gatorade in the morning. Should try ice, 1/2 water, then gatorade in the future. Filled the other bottle with 1/2 scoop NOExplode and water. only drank about 1/4 of that bottle on the bike. I did eat 2 powerbar protein shots. What would you do differently?: really get cranking on the bike. find a challenging pace and then stay there, no breaks. Transition 2
Comments: put on socks, out to run Run
Comments: ran out of gas on the run, also started raining. need to practice some brick type workouts, also consider adding in an actual cliff bar for T2 as well as the (existing) gatorade. Post race
Warm down: Ate a hamburger patty, pickles, and some katsup and resolved my angry stomach issue. walked to transition to retrieve my bike, then back to the hotel for a shower and check out. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need to do a better job on nutrition for this long of a race. Event comments: Solid race, very well ran, good support and great vendors Last updated: 2012-04-06 12:00 AM

Woke up at 3:45 to go set up my transition. Walked the ins/outs, went to swin in and swim out, checked out the finish line, and went back to the hotel for a nap before the race. Ate a Power Bar around 12:30AM, an apple with Almond Butter around 6:15. Drank water.
walked from the hotel to swim start (0.75 mi)
