Subject: Polls vs the Economy (stupid) - Payrolls increased by 250,000 for October, well ahead of Refinitiv estimates of 190,000.
- Average hourly earnings increased by 3.1 percent gain, the best pace since 2009.
- Unemployment rate stayed at 3.7 percent, the lowest since December 1969.
Virtually everyone on both side is predicting the dems will take the House and the reps will keep the Senate.
I remain unconvinced the House will flip. With the economy booming I just have a hard time seeing how people are going to vote 'punish Trump' at the expense of the economy. I will go out on a limb and predict the republicans keep the House and the Senate. My hope is the polls are wrong ala 2016.
So 2 good nights of TV coming up. Election night next Tuesday - hoping for an 'upset' just so we can watch the meltdown on the left again. And Saturday night at 7 pm CT Bama heads to Death Valley to face rival LSU - not hoping for an upset! Nick Saban was asked yesterday, "If Alabama wins the coin toss, will Alabama elect to kick?" Saban: "I hope we elect to kick asz!"
