Hey all!

I'm turning 30 this year and wanted to do something to really kick off a new decade. Turns out there's a 70.3 event right on my birthday this year, so back in October I went ahead and registered for it, then realized how much work it would take!

I've been a casual cyclist for about 10 years now, though this is the first time I've really dedicated myself to training. I can cover the distances for 70.3 fine, I'm just slow. (swim ~2:25/100, bike FTP 3.2 w/kg, run ~2:20)

I've been training by myself with some input from semi-pro cyclists and former triathletes in my area, plus whatever videos I can find. I'm hoping to utilize this forum for motivational purposes and advice, and look forward to "getting to know" some of you! Best of luck in your 2020 season, maybe I'll see you out there!

Hello and welcome!

We usually have a daily workout thread so you can post your daily training. A lot of times it keeps me motivated as I want to be able to post something in that thread. Lots of good folks and information on this forum.

Good luck with the training!
