Subject: Football The SEC announced a conference only schedule this year. The Big Ten and PAC 12 have done likewise.
This is good and bad. The good is that it will eliminate “meaningless” games where SEC teams destroy non SEC teams. The bad is that it takes away smaller schools’ chance to play big name schools.
I gave up on the NFL years ago and things have only gotten worse. That is, more political. Sports used to be a way to escape politics but in today’s cancel world you can’t even watch pro football, baseball or basketball without the teams cramming their ideological bent on you.
I hope college football stays away from politics.
Gonna be an interesting year for the Tide playing mostly ranked teams.
