Comments: Wasn't sure how the legs would respond 20 days after Boston, but I'd say they did just fine! Goal was to start out right at pace and try to hold it throughout. We started with the full marathon racers, and I ran with a couple for the first half mile before picking it up. One guy shot off the front and was about 1:40 ahead of me at the turn around, so I basically ran this race all alone. With no real hills and only some gentle stretches of barely noticeable inclines and declines, I was able to keep the pace steady. The last 5k things started to hurt, but was able to hold steady. I wanted to speed up enough to get the overall pace under 6:00, but just didn't have it. Maybe if there was someone close enough to chase down to the finish. What would you do differently?: Nothing, great race and a HUGE PR Post race
Warm down: 10 minute jog with Danielle. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Really cool running across the Walkway! Some minor hiccups like starting late and all the medals saying "Marathon" or "26.2", but not bad for a first time event! Last updated: 2023-05-13 12:00 AM

Pancakes at the hotel, drove to the race site with Danielle.
1 mile job with a few short pick-ups. Race start got pushed back 10 minutes after I already finished the warm up. TRS 30ish minutes before start.
