Subject: Here we go, my first Tri. My "official" kick off training plan (12 week plan ) is Sat. So one day off/week, and 12weeks*6=72, so 72 rides now to Sept. I am using "Tom Holland, 12-week Triathlete" program.
My commute is 12miles each way, I generally like to head to the hills, or beach, for ride home, this increases the ride signifcantly. I ride in at 4AM so am out early afternoon. A normal in/out ride would be 24 miles, I ride 20/30miles on the home run.
A question, should I cut down on the commute (don't think so :> )?
I plan on doing "bricks" immediately after my commute, will stow run gear in car. As water gets warmer will be able swim, ride and run.
Any comments, tips, for a first timer, not looking to break any records, just finish. |
