For all you folks in the Southern California area if you want an early season no frills event challenge yourself to this event. No awards No T-shirts just an epic event and great way to celebrate Dave DeLear's 50th birthday.

2MILE OCEAN SWIM:

Start at Trancas tower on the very farthest western portion of Zuma Beach. Home of the Malibu Triathlon in Sept. Swim 2mi with the current to Westward Beach parallel to the shore. Water temp should be low 60's.

25MILE ROAD RIDE:

Transition in the parking lot next to the main entrance to Zuma Beach. Go underneath PCH and head west to Mulholland Hwy. Go up Mulholland Hwy to the Encinal Cyn/Mulholland Hwy split and continue past Kanan-Dume Rd. down to the Rock Store and finally end up in Malibu Lake.

16MILE MOUNTAIN BIKE:

Transition onto your Mountain Bike and head out on Craggs Rd to the entrance to Malibu Creek Park and head up Bulldog Lateral Trail to Newton Cyn. Take Newton Cyn around Castro Crest and down towards the bottom of the canyon. When you get to the Corral Cyn trailhead you go left up the Backbone trail and up to Castro Crest again and finally down Bulldog Lateral. Then go back to the transition via Craggs Tr. to Dave's house.

16MILE TRAIL RUN:

Repeat the same course as the Mountain Bike portion.

Email me if your interested. Should be a good one. Post race beer garden and dancing girls!
