Subject: The dreaded lifting weights debate
Hope this is in the right place! So being a guy and all, I love to lift weights. That being said, I pretty much focus on different parts of my bodies than what is suggested in the plans. So when I imported my plan, I didn't copy over any of the suggested workouts, as I was planning on doing my own weight workouts.

So my question, would it be a bad idea to lift weights on my off-days? I'm usually in for an hour lifting, and this seems like the best day to fit something like this in, but i don't want to overfatigue myself.

Thanks for the help

At least one 'completely off' day is nice and preferable, but if you don't have this luxury, give it a try and see how it does or does not fatigue you for the next week.

Though if you can fit your weights in on a swimming day or two (when you are at the gym anyway), that could save time and give you a complete off day if you feel you need it.

Also, if you are doing your own routine, and being and guy and all, you are lifting hard, you will have to make sure any residual soreness is not negatively impacting the next day or two's workouts (delayed onset muscle soreness).
