Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I am about to start watching the Pac 12 championship, and it is a complete joke! How the hell is a 3 loss team, with one of those losses to the CAL Bears, even playing for the "championship"? How the hell is a team that can't even sell out their stadium hosting the game? A team with 2 losses overall. I was so glad that the PAC 12 got a championship game when they added 2 teams and created 2 divisions, but this is seriously a joke. The best team in the conference is not even playing for the Pac 12 championship, all because of Stanford getting lucky for one game against them. Stanford didn't win that game, Oregon lost that game. Shouldn't they just have the top 2 teams in the division play for the championship of the division? In this case - it would be a rematch of Stanford and Oregon - it would be at Oregon (where the stadium sells out)...and then the world would see what a fluke that loss to Stanford was. Go DUCKS!!!! |

It's very simple.... if you want to play in the conference championship, you have to win your division, just like in every conference in the country. Even if you got an SEC-like second chance, it would be at Stanford since your Oregon Ducks couldn't recruit a real kicker. I'm sure the Ducks are enjoying watching from home, just like you and I though. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() One thing is certain, the game is better than the possibly BCS deciding game over on ESPN2 right now. The fact that either of these JV teams are being considered for a BCS slot is laughable. |

Obviously you don't know what's going on in Indianapolis tomorrow.. the best team in the conference is staying home while a 2-loss team and a team that is 7-5 (third place in their division) are playing for the title of Big Ten champion. THAT is a bunch of baloney. Thankfully it's just for this year. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() We probably all agree on a playoff is needed to replace the BCS right? No need for conference championships...just put them all in a playoff system. The rematches alone would be worth it. Who doesn't want to see Oregon have a chance to get revenge on Stanford? The rematches in the SEC would be epic! The little guys from the Sun Belt, WAC, Mountain West would all get their shot. No more complaining or arguing for your team - they would get a shot to prove they can play with the big boys. On the surface, it seems like a playoff system would make even more money than the current joke that is the BCS. I don't get it. |

Oregon was flat - didn't open their playbook, dropped balls and Stanford got lucky with that call in the end zone. That was not a touchdown. His shoulder hit first, but he didn't have control of the ball. All that said, a win is a win. It's very tough to run the table in any division in college football. In my biased Duck eyes - that was a cheap win. If Oregon and Stanford played that game over 5 more times in a row - Oregon rolls them in the next 5. I must say - the back and forth banter is one of the things I love about college football. Sure wish your Bruins could have beat Stanford last night and shown just how cheap a win Stanfords win over Oregon was. LOL

Meh, pretty terrible day of college football. The SEC title game was terribly officiated, where personal fouls are only called on teams not called Alabama. If you are goin to take the interception away from Georgia on a rather minor roughing the passer, you have to call the cheap shot on the Georgia QB and the obvious targeting foul with under a minute to go. I hate the rules but you have to call them consistently. Congratulations on to Alabama for the national title. |
