Dick move

Nice to see Liberals coming to the defense of law enforcement. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

I guess the next uniform cop who isn't truthful gets a pass too, huh?

Again, I HOPE they waited until he only had a day to go to get his pension.....that's the right message.

I said from day one that this whole thing is a Comey deal......HE is the key to all of this Russian investigation BS.  All you have to do is look at his statements regarding Clinton, and then Trump, in the run-up and the immediate aftermath of the election. 

At this point, I could make the argument that the FBI, and not the Russians, meddled the most in the election.  All that's left is to figure out under who's behest it was done.  Hmmmmmm.....let me see......who was President at that time? 

It was interesting, because to me it was obvious that there was a big problem in the FBI field offices vs. what was coming out of his office.  It was obvious because just before the election Comey issues a statement that perhaps Clinton was not in the clear after all, and this was after going out of his way to say she was.  He then backtracked again right before the election.  At the time I thought it was really bizarre behavior.  As I watched what was unfolding after the election, and reading between the lines a bit after 30 years in law enforcement,  I kept asking myself why he would do what he did.  The only answer was to try to appease those in the organization who knew he was full of it with his original clearing of Clinton.  Then you have to ask yourself why he felt the need to appease them, and why he did it in the first place........and you need ZERO law enforcement experience to figure that one out. LOL

I don't like conspiracy theories, but this isn't really a conspiracy, it's just business as usual for anything surrounding the Clintons and the Obama administration (and maybe just politics in general). 

I know this, the FBI has lost a tremendous amount of credibility......it'll be interesting to see how Mueller tries to restore it for the agency he put his heart and soul into.  Will he expose Comey?  Clinton?  Obama?

I doubt Trump has anything to fear in the way of election meddling......that's WAY out of his league.

But isn't it just as much of a dick move to disappear on vacation weeks before you are to retire to avoid addressing the crap you are being accused of?

And Ultimately the administration had to wait until others recommended his firing which was somewhat tied to information in the IG report, which still hasn't been released.  And if they waited any longer it would have been too late.

So while not nice, and maybe poor timing, It also is not inappropriate.

I've seen headlines that some of his benefactors are already working to help him land on his feet.  

Best right now is he cannot start drawing his pension for a few years.  I suspect if he sues to have his firing overturned, the response will more likely include criminal charges.  I'm obviously not a lawyer nor a pension specialist, but a felony conviction for official misconduct could cost him the entire pension.  

I chuckle at the "land on his feet comments".   He's worth over $11M with $3M in real-estate and $400k in cars.  I think he's already several feet up on all of us.
As for the move, he broke the law and should be criminally prosecuted.  Just because he broke the law to benefit "your team" doesn't make him immune to the consequences of the choices he made.  I'm truly looking forward to a day when all are equal under the law.  I know, it's a dream but I will keep dreaming it.

I'm still skeptical of a conviction.  One thing most people often forget is that they are tried by a jury of their peers and their jury comes from Washington, DC which votes 95% democrat.
In other words, I'm not holding my breath unless he's tried under a more representative jurisdiction.
