Cool!  Looks like I'm the first one to track!  Sadly I just realized that because tomorrow is a Canadian holiday (hence gym closes early) - I'm already behind in one session... oops!  Good luck on the challenge!

YA!! I'm ready for this challenge! I may up my cycling goal because I'm leaving for Victoria this week because my Nana only has a few weeks left, so I feel that I may need alot of alone time to get away for things-->I figure I will be proactive and spend it on my bike on the roads by the ocean. I will re-evaluate when I get there...

I had to cancel my Oly tri this month too because I won't be able to get to Calgary...so maybe I'll do a few brick workouts to make up for that!

Good luck everyone!!!

Hey team! Over the weekend I got 1 swim session, 12 bike miles, 7 run miles and 1 core session. Hit the ground running.. hoping for a big month!

I'm not that great at coming up with team names so I'm not much help there...

Hope everybody is ready for good Aug Challenge.  My name is Travis, some of the team I recognize and others not as much.  My goals are all set a sessions and not times or distances as I normally have them since I will be on vacation next week for a week and a half to come back and move into a new house.

Quick summary:  I am married to Laura (Runnerg1rl7), I have a beagle named Bandit.  I am on my nineth year in the United State Marine Corps, currently stationed at Buckley Air Force Base which in near Denver, Colorado.  I have only completed one sprint tri this year.  I hope to complete more but between not having time and my doctors not being able to figure out what is causing the pains in the right side of the chest during exercise I haven't been training like I would otherwise.

Hi Team #4

My name is Paul

I signed on for the full 4 sports challenge and have gotten three sessions in so far .

I have been tri-ing for 4 years and really want to run swim and bike faster.

To be lighter ,  leaner and meaner at all my sports .

My biggest goal this season is improve my swim splits to sub 2 per 100  and  run splits to sub 9 min/mile.

Good luck to everyone achieving their goals

Below is my suggestion for a team name :

I guess I will introduce myself properly too...haha..

My name is Melissa and I currently live in Edmonton, AB. I have been trying to take advantage of the weather while it is here before we plunge into our usual 6 mo. winter season which I do not really appreciate, but I seem to just deal with. I just finished my first degree from the University of Alberta in Physiology and am continuing, for what seems like all eternity, in medical school at the UofA in less than a month now. (Although you will catch me complaining to no end about school, I am really quite excited to start school again. )

I started training for tri in Jan 2008. I haven't been doing many races yet--I figure next year will be my first "race" season. I have a sprint scheduled for the beginning of September and am throwing around the idea of doing the Vancouver Half-Marathon next year as my first race of the season. I haven't quite figured out the rest yet...I recently bought a 2006 Guru Trilite which is pretty much my baby and rides around locked up in my car (literally locked to my car) and I am slowly getting used to it.

Thats all I can think to say...this is my first challenge!

Hey all!  I'm Emily.  It's been a very busy year for me so far and I've been having a hard time sticking to my plan with all the "real life" stuff going on.  So I keep signing up for challenges in the hope that having folks looking over my shoulder will keep me motivated.

My biggest goal is to get back in the pool.  The only swimming I've done in the past few months was 500m during a sprint tri.  It's time to make friends with the water again.  I don't want to be so out of swim shape that I bite it during my Oly.  I'm waiting for a tattoo to finish healing then, next week, I'll be swimming laps (and probably gasping for air).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi all

I am another Melissa.  A friend invited me to do a triathlon with him last spring and I have been hooked ever since.  I will be doing my first oly this September.

My goals for this challenge are 6 sessions of each...swim, bike, run, and core work.

I live in the Seattle area and am in the process of moving (again).

I am signing up for a 1 mile OWS event on the 15th.  I will be doing it sans wetsuit.

ooo I'll introduce myself as well. My name is Rob, I currently live in NY but by the end of this challenge I will be getting ready to move to Denver!

This month I'm looking to get in consistent high volume training all around to get ready for a HIM in the middle of September, and also get back to lifting some weights since I kinda dropped that in July and my arms are starting to look like noodles again :/

Great to meet you all, go Thunderbirds!!

Hi team!

I'm Debbie.  Married, 2 kids.  I just moved from New Jersey to upstate New York and I'm trying to get settled and train for my first Oly in September.  My schedule has totally changed, because I left a normal 9-to-5 job and just opened a yoga studio, so I'm trying to work out how my days are going to flow. I did get to run 5 miles on Sunday, so I got the month started.  Hoping to hop on the bike tonight.

Other teams have 5 pages already.
I thought I'd pp (post pad) a little and tell you a bit about me.

I was supposed to have done my first triathlon yesterday. It was SheRox Philadelphia sprint tri. First they canceled the swim and made it a duathlon, the weather was really bad with torrential downpour and thunderstorms and they called the race. I was in an early wave and was able to finish but about half of the 2000 or so entrants did not.

I just got off the couch in April though I used to swim on my high school team, ran a marathon when I was 21 (in 1979) and later was into cycling after getting injured running.

I agree, we need to get cracking on the post padding! I got in 23+ miles on the bike today. Hill Repeats, yum!

I know they are brutal and its alot of pain, but for some reason I love hill repeats on the bike! Same thing with anaerobic intervals on the track for running.
