Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: PT Freaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Just a quick reminder of the rules of the challenge. The goal of the challenge is to get 5 workouts of at minimum 30 minutes. The workout does not have to be one straight exercise or done all at once. What this means is as long as you get 30 minutes of exercise in the day it will count for the point. For example, if you run for 15 minutes in the morning and lift wieghts in the evening for 25 minutes for a total of 40 minutes you have enough time to be counted. Each workout that is successfully completed is worth a point. The time periods that you have to complete your workouts and have them counted are Nov 8th, Nov 15th, Nov 22nd, and Nov 30th. I will try to get a spreadsheet up to log the points in. As a bonus you can get one extra point for any two time periods. What this means for you is there is a total of 22 points out of 20 points total. Yes there is a chance to get an extra 10%. The team that gets the most points wins the challenge. The teams are as follows: Team PT Freaks
Take the next few days to get to know your teammates as it will take everbody to win this challenge. Update 10/31 Here is a link to your team spreadsheet - PT Freaks Team Thread - Nov USMC ChallengeIt is in a google spreadsheet the username is btchallenge the password is challenge forum just give a shout if you have any trouble! Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge I guess I will start. My name is Travis. I am a Sgt in the Marines and currently stationed in CO. I have been here for about 4 months. I hope everyone enjoys the challenge and remember that we will have to work as a team to win the challenge. Good luck everyone. |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Oooh - I think Ive pretty much met just about everyone on this team through challenges... Hi - Im super cat... but you can just call me Cat. Im living in Australia which means when I say good morning at odd times Im not just trying to confuse you. We are just heading into our season here and I have consistency issues so will need a lot of 'motivation' and 'encouragement' to keep on track for the team... Oh... and I talked Travis into running his first challenge (this one) GO TRAVIS!

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Cat! Phil! Travis! We meet again. I'm Kristin, I'm fairly addicted to challenges. I'm running the NYC Mary on Sunday and then heading into two months of less structured training in preparation for IMNO 70.3 on 4/5 and IMWI on 9/13. I tend to get a little lazy in November when the mary is over so I'm hoping this challenge will keep me moving. I'm also recovering from a broken shoulder and can just now swim and bike again so I plan to do a lot of that. Can't wait to meet everyone. I'll warn you that Travis, Phil, Cat and I are a chatty bunch - our current challenge thread had to go to Act 2 because we posted 95 pages before half the month was done! |

I live in Ohio with my Hubby and work in construction. I am going into my 4th year of Tri's. Have a less busy training month before I get back into training for my "A" race of next season the American TTT. So I will need this to challenge to keep me from slacking off on less structure this month and to stay away from the pie. Can't wait to start. BTW...I'll be changing the "clown" after the 31st. Pro 4528 Norwalk, Connecticut | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hey all, I am Rudy, I live in Southern Connecticut and have been Tri training for about 3 months now, i have completed 2 sprints since i started training both in Sept (be sure to check my race reports out, they are pretty funny), and just did my very first 5k race this past Sunday. This will be my third consecutive challenge, as they seem to keep me motivated for exercising and help me keep taking the weight and inches off. Right now i have 4 tri's planned for next year and will probably do 7 or 8, i am currently training for my first Oly distance next June. When i started training i could not run 100 yards or swim for more than 3 minutes without being gassed, i have come along way and look to continue to go. I love chatty groups so this will be great for me and us!!! GOOOOOOOOOOOO FREEEEEEEAAAAKSSSS!!!! |

But let's go slow. |

Expert 1580 Ankeny, Iowa | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hey Everyone! I'm Stacie. I see quite a few familiar names on this list. I haven't done a tri yet since I am still in the process of getting brave enough to learn to swim. I was training for a couple du's this fall but school got in the way. Now that school is done (I graduated with my Masters in September) I am concentrating on du's and hopefully a half-mary in the spring. The big thing for this challenge is to keep moving. I did a run and multi challenge last month, a run challenge for october and this will be for November. I am traveling back to Alaska for work on the 4th through the 19th and it seems I always gain weight when I travel so I am hoping this will keep me moving and I will not gain weight this trip especially with coming back right before Thanksgiving. Lets go freaks.. |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge WOO HOOOOOOO!!!! Looks like we got ourselves a very cool team!!! Kristin, Beth, and the head challenge man himself, Travis, from our (nearly-ended) Oct. challenge team are BACK, BAAAA BEEEEE!!! I recognize a couple of you others, too (oh-oh, a maniacal clown to boot, too, AAAAAAHHHH! ) A little info - I'm from the MadTown (Madison, WI) area and have finished Ironman Moo (WI) 2007, and am getting ready for IM Moo '09! Kristin will be there, too, so I took it upon myself to keep her azz motivated, or else. Yes, I have been labeled as a yapper, but, when a side-challenge is presented to be the chattiest team for the month, you can bet that I won't let a team down/lose! I am on my way out with my 3 sons to enjoy some Waterpark fun for a couple of days, so I won't be around for this week (thank, gawd, right? ). Glad to have some of my previous teammates back, and glad to see some new avatars! See ya soon! And Travis - THANK YOU FOR SETTING UP THIS MONTH'S CHALLENGE!! |

Expert 724 Simi Valley | Subject: RE: PT Freeaks Team Thread - Nov USMC Challenge Hey peeps - Andy here - added today. I am 31, a clydes, pastor of a Methodist church, dad, and whole lot of fun After meeting my goals in Run challenges in Sept and Oct, I thought I would mix it up and not do a distance challenge, but one that invited consistency in training volume and days. And I have typically been on "quiet" teams, so it should be fun to be on a thread likely to make it into double digits. |
