Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: Flynn won't comply with sobpoena Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn will invoke his Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination on Monday as he notifies the Senate Intelligence committee that he will not comply with a subpoena seeking documents. "That's according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private interactions between Flynn and the committee." Does anyone see the irony here? Unless you want your documents leaked to the public, don't release anything! |

This entire "investigation" is unguided and without a target from what i can see. In that light, no way I would testify in front of it. I'd show up and plead the 5th to every question. If you think I'm guilty of something then charge me and I'll see you in court. You can take your committee and shove it. Edited by Left Brain 2017-05-22 2:31 PM |

He has NOTHING to gain and EVERYTHING to lose by testifying. At this point he needs to go into a retreat at some cabin on the lake in the mountains and let his lawyers handle everything. As we saw precedent last year, he does not even need to show up! Just plead the 5th and ignore the subpoena just like Hillary's IT people did. |

I don't give a rats arse who walks out of their commencement ceremony or what their reason(s) might be. I don't care about the issues of any protest......not one bit. |

It might make you feel better but most of the time it is misplaced anger. Kinda like kicking your flat tire. You aren't made at the tire and all you did was hurt you own toe when you kicked it. Seems to me the only way to effect change is to vote and help people who are sympathetic to your cause to get elected. If all who po'd woman who marched with p-hats on had organized and volunteered their time and money they might could have got someone elected who would be more sympathetic to their cause. But to come back AFTER the election and pitch a hissy fit does nothing by make you look like a bunch of Johnny-come-latelies. |

They do have a target and it's Donald Trump, even though he's not even downrange on this one. It's all part of the big 'delegitimize the administration' campaign they're running. With approval and complete compliance of the media I might add. It plays into all their future campaigns that will run on the notion our entire government has been in turmoil since the Rinos took over. Because they can't run AND WIN on the ideology and failed programs that they so readily promote with passion. From Keynesian economics to socialist govt principles, it's all failed somewhere before and will fail again. Better to make the other team look like the boogeyman than to attempt to explain just how their plan, based on concepts that have failed each and every time, will miraculously work if given just one more chance. And before my left leaning friends here pile on, please note that I don't have any more faith in the republicans unfu**ing this goat either Well, maybe 5% higher chance than the dems. But to come back AFTER the election and pitch a hissy fit does nothing by make you look like a bunch of Johnny-come-latelies. The ridiculousness of the woman marches and p-hats is a case study in hypocrisy IMO. Same women supported hillary with unbridled passion. They hate Trump because he was talking shiite with Howard Stern. One incident, period. A movement is born and the narrative is set. Flip to hillary and consider how many women's lives were ruined by her ambition. Her serial sexual predator husband that she stood by for decades while he diddled his way through office. She actively engaged in either helping destroy or shut these women up when they surfaced, not because she loved the big lug himself, but because they were ultimately going to get in the way of her ambitions. I'm not defending Trump or his comments here, just pointing out that the facts clearly prove that Hillary has piled up some serious women's rights grievances. Possibly more if you consider that the facts prove these sexual attacks did occur and the Trump thing is hearsay; penetration or the suggestion of grabbing a vagina. Somewhere out the is a blue dress and cigar that supports my argument... Edited by mdg2003 2017-05-23 8:14 AM |

You can take your committee and shove it. Good point! Reminds me of the story about the state trooper that was following this semi waiting for him to make a mistake. The driver was perfect and never went over the speed limit, never followed too closely, always signaled when changing lanes and was courteous to other driver. Finally the cop pulled him over and said, "I just want to comment you! You are the best driver ever. You don't speed, always signal and courteous to other drivers!" The truck driver says, "Well, when you're as drunk as I am and haul a load of marijuana, you got to be careful!" Steven Write said a cop pulled him over and asked why he was going so fast. Steven said, "I pushed my foot on the gas pedal....it sends more gas to the engine......." OK, one more joke... Cop pulls over Heisenberg and asked me if he know how fast he was going? Heisenberg says no but I know exactly where I am. If you understood that joke you are a physics geek! |

As for him going to jail, I would be betting that he won't because I've yet to see anything illegal be presented publicly. Obviously he could have done something illegal and then of course he would and should be punished for it. Unfortunately with the myriad of obvious fake news and leaks that keep coming out about "Russia" I'm starting to believe the whole thing is just a big ruse by the DNC to justify Hillary losing (and cover up the crimes they committed in the process). |

Pro 9391 Omaha, NE | Subject: RE: Flynn won't comply with sobpoena What gets me is that nobody even tries and the reason is because the Fox is guarding the henhouse. With the DOJ and FBI reporting directly to the Executive office the likelihood of an investigation happening are next to zero. For example there were numerous things that Bush and Obama did that various pundits would state were illegal because of this law or that law or not getting congress involved. I'm not saying they broke the law, because they very well may not have but we will never know because there was never a due process even attempted. Supporters always say that if there was something wrong the FBI/DOJ would investigate it so their guy of course did no wrong. However, I think we can all agree there's no investigating going on. |

IIRC a judge ordered him to start serving his sentence immediately and Bush commuted it at that moment. I think he was appealing his sentence or something and Bush was waiting until the end of term commutations or whatever and due to the judge moving the timetable up he immediately did it. Either way the premise is clear that he got the hook up. On a side note (and somewhat humorous) I saw a meme the other day of how Trump is unimpeachable. Congress impeaches Trump It's laughable but technically could happen in our current system. |

Congress again impeaches Trump since he resigned during impeachment proceeding Pence becomes President Pence again pardons Trump Pence appoints Trump as VP Pence resigns Trump is not eligible for a third term Pence rescinds his resignation and says "Just kidding fellers...." |
