Member 48 San Antonio | Subject: RE: Gator Bait Sprint Triathlon in Boerne I have either raced or volunteered for the last three years at this race, or any that Redemption has staged at Boerne Lake. Lots of fun and a good challenge on the 'Hill". Great venue for racing, but not real excited by any of the runs inside the park. If it is raining or wet it is a slog fest. Sign up you'll have a great race and meet some great folks. |

Expert 962 | Subject: RE: Gator Bait Sprint Triathlon in Boerne Good to hear positive reviews of this. I'm targeting this one as my first triathlon race of any distance. Just a shade over 13 weeks out should be no problem getting ready, I've already run the Blue Norther Duathlon this year and had a blast doing it. Starting to put swimming in my training mix next week. See ya'll there. |

They usually swim across the lake and back (about a mile) and then ride the loop out towards Comfort/Waring that is the (relatively) same bike loop for the Tall/Small/Tiny Texan and Gator Bait/Greater Gator races. If you're up for more, they usually go for a run right afterwards. Come for one, part, or all -- its a great time. |

I just signed up with the wife for HITS MF though, so won't be able to do Windcrest. Come do HITS instead! |

I've been thinking about heading out there one of these weekends for an OWS. I have the past couple of years, but I haven't made it out there this year yet. I think Tri-Sition just started their group workouts out there last week. I'll probably get out there in the few weeks. Let me know when you're planning on going! |

I'm registering soon. I see you live in U.C. If you're ever looking for company on a long ride let me know. I usually go with 2 or 3 on the weekends to get some miles. Really long rides can get boring without anyone to chase, or anyone chasing you. Anyone else live in the Schertz, Cibolo, UC area? |

Veteran 312 Austin | Subject: RE: Gator Bait Sprint Triathlon in Boerne I am going to sign up. I have done a few of the Redemption Races. They do a great job. Their duatholon in New Braunfels is still my favorite Du of all time. Running out of the caves was cool. I was injured last year and missed it but I fully plan to do this race in the fall. The weekend before is the Lake Pflugerville Tri. Both are good deals. I may do both. Gator has one big hill. Good luck to all. |

I've got a few slower guys as they just gotten on the bike. We try and run a paceline to keep the slower ones with the group. We went 50 this past weekend, but the pace was pretty slow. Your husband sounds like a bicycling beast based on the posts I've read....hahaha. Hope he wouldn't bury us all on the bike. |

They changed the bike route it looks like for the Gator Bait this year. Some hills, but not quite as bad. I would LOVE to do Natural Bridge Caverns, but just isn't in the cards this year! Cavern start would be amazing! |
