Did a small brick on Sat morning. During the Sat arvo race I swam like a set of car keys as usual Had a good bike though, even with the headwind grovel!
Run was pretty average the first lap but came right the second.
Was my first club tri, well organised I thought...top day.
Which club you with, I've recently joined the Hills.

Bondi to Bronte swim was great the next day, sea was flat and very clear. Even I enjoyed the swim and that's coming from someone that avoids the wet stuff!

Hi, I think the all women's race is on 1 Feb.  Is this the one at the Penrith Regatta Centre?

What race were the other girls thinking of doing?  I've only done enticers but I think the Regatta centre one is longer than the others that I've done.

I'll probably give the Cronulla one a miss.  Is that the Challenge Series one?  I just did the Callala enticer and the pinkies before it.  I'm hoping to do one every 2 months or so.

The regatta centre one is great - there are 4 race options this year:

150/5/1.5

250/10/2.5

350/15/3.5

500/20/5

You should come out thats the one I will be at and you will really enjoy it, last time I did it a few years ago it was really supportive!

Cronulla is the challenge series one there is an enticer distance and an Oly... I did pinkies this year too... it was my first race back in 2.5 years and how much fun was it? (and welcome to BT)

How is everybody going? Have decided to add the Malabar to Little Bay Stockland Challenge swim in Feb. 2.7K.
The Canberra Half was a killer, quite windy with some chop on the lake. The wind made the bike interesting at times. My time was about 30mins off! Still 8th in AG.

Put that one down as a mental toughness day.......
Now turns out I now have whooping cough, makes for interesting training

How did the race go in the weekend? I was up at Port Mac so didn't have a chance to see the race.

Depending on how the Sprint goes in 10 days time Im looking at the Byron Bay Olympic as a good excuse for a weekend away - does anyone know much about it?

Number? Atmosphere? etc...

Byron bay sounds like a great race.  my coach is keen for those of us stepping up to half ironman to give it a go.  (sure I'm not from NSW but I think it takes just as long to get to byron from brissie than it does from Sydney

It was a great day for racing down at Kurnell last weekend. No wind and no current to speak of - I think there were uite a few PB's recorded.  It was only my second triathlon - I did it in 1.14, about 7 minutes quicker than the last one.  Pretty happy with that, thanks for asking

Was with hills, but now have moved further south so am thinking of joining the Macarthur Tri club.
They are way smaller than Hills club, but oh well.

Anyone doing club champs? had to skip it this year due to conflicting timetables..

Looking forward to the Duathlon series tho

Welcome to BT and the Hills club. Turn up at the Sat brick session at Parramatta park 07.30. Check the club website. I should be there this Sat. Plenty of bike/swim/core sessions based in the Hills area.
