My shoes. Today. At work. I'm interviewing two candidates and have a revenue meeting. Sweet.

One shoe migrated from the back of the closet to the front as forgotten shoes have a tendancy to do over time. With my parents squatting in my room, My sister squatting in Maddies Room and me on a sleeper couch, My sisters ex-boyfriend in the third room, things are a little hectic. I didn't have much light... Not only am I in miss-matched shoes, but one of them is scuffed, beat up and vaguely resembles a WWII destroyer....

I don't know what's worse:
A) I had to look 3 times before I realized that they weren't the same shoe type
or
b) I don't know how Lara is going to get out from under the not seeing runningwoof with clothes on comment.

No one would notice and if any of those job candidates looks at your shoes, don't hire them. You can't trust someone that looks at the ground when answering a question.

Sheesh. I looked at the picture and thought "No one would actually leave the house with that footwear disaster going on." I was wrong. My bad.

Which one is the scruffed up one?

It just makes you seem more human, and not the superhero you are equated to in my mind.

I've shown up at the Y, all ready to teach an aerobics class, in my fuzzy ghetto slippers.  Just slipped my mind to put on shoes before I left the house.

And for this reason, I keep an extra pair of shoes under the desk at work.  For those of us who workout in the morning at a gym close to work, I know I've been uilty of wearing my running shoes to the gym, doing the workout, showering, then frantically looking for my dress/casual shoes in the locker room, giving accusing glances (who would steal someone elses shoes?), then realizing they are back at home.  Same with the forgetting the towel thing.  You get resourceful.  Paper towels do wonders...

I went to work one day a few years ago with one brown lace up shoe, and one Black slip on shoe.....figure that one out.

Thankfully I used to get to the office about 1:30 before anyone else arrived, so I could get to target and buy a new pair of shoes before anyone else knew anything....
