My girlfriend who lost her husband in 2004, CPT John Tipton, received one of these paintings.  I believe back in 2005 the artists had all the paintings on display in Washington D.C.... she traveled to see the portraits in Washington D.C. of all those who had been KIA...  needless to say it was very emotional for her to receive this gift! but it's something she treasures!
