Subject: triathlon at pacific grove
I'm doing the sprint as my first tri. If anyone has done this tri before i know the water will be cold will i need neoprene booties for my feet or just barefooted??? just wondering thanks in advance

Pacific Grove is on my to do list.  But, I did Big Kahuna (Santa Cruz) last year (usually same weekend as Pacific Grove) and water temps should be similar--low- to mid-50's.

I pretty sensitive to the cold water, and I had no problems sans booties.  You won't be in the water long enough that booties are worth the trouble IMO.

I don't know what the Swim Exit to TA is like, but if its remotely long (like the 1/3 of a mile run up to the TA @ Big Kahuna), I'd stash some sandals near the Swim Exit.  Your feet will be a little numb, and sandals will prevent you from cutting your foot say on a twig or bottlecap and not even know it.
