Subject: Road vs. Trail?
I do pretty much all my runs on trails, and have noticed when I do run on asphalt patches here and there my stride gets longer and I feel as if I go quite a bit faster, and feel 'lighter'.

I'm wondering if there is any rough figure of how trail running compares to road running.

I run about 1.5 - 2 minutes slower per mile on the trail.

I don't know if there is a "conversion," but the reason for this is that your muscles and tendons have a certain amount of elasticity, so you're literally "bouncing" on the harder surface.
