Subject: Tech Question

I'm putting together a new road bike. I'll be mounting a carbon fiber stem to an aluminum steering tube. Do I use grease?

I guess the more broad question is- is grease ever necessary when mounting carbon fiber components, since (from what I understand) the main purpose is to prevent parts from rusting and/or locking up?

 Thanks!

Do the paste, it's needed for a dielectric insulator. In the mean time, you can roll dry until you get your hands on the paste.
