Subject: Server load issues?
Ever since the site re-design, I've noticed that the website tends to take longer to load. The browser will sit there waiting for a response from BT - which will eventually happen - but it takes longer than it used to. I've noticed this both from home and at work, so it's not my internet connection that's at issue. Are you aware of anything going on with the site?

I do have to say that the overall MB is about consistent with the old site even with the new graphics.

BUT we are still working on some issues and the few bugs that remain on the live and the dev site and hope to be done end of the week.  This could be part of what you are experiencing.

We still have to go through a final look-see to see what bottlenecks may remain that could be causing your problems and make some processes more efficient - I'm sure we have some headroom for improvement.

Everyone, if there are certain pages that seem to 'take longer' than usual, please note them and we will start looking to do the final optimization.  Note your browser and OS, the exact URL and about how many seconds it takes.

FWIW, I've noticed the slowdown sporadically on the forums and training logs. There wasn't any given page where I noticed it more than others. They were all using Firefox 2 or 3 on either XP or Vista.
