Subject: Champaign/Urbana Trails
I will be in Champaign this weekend and would like to do an 8 mile run in and a 25 mile bike. Are there any trails in the area or locations that you could recommend with minimal traffic for both the bike and run?

jen, there is meadowbrook park in urbana on Windsor road that has about 3 miles of paved paths with water fountains and restrooms but it can get busy sometimes so the bike may be a bit hard.

there is also a 2.40 mile loop out near where i live that nothing is built on yet.  its off I57 on Olympian drive and go west.  if you take the road and the sidewalk fully around its about 2.4 miles and there are no cars or people for that matter.  google map it and use the aerial or satellite views to see the loop i am talking about.  no water or bathrooms out that way except for a mobil gas station.

lake of the woods park in mahomet would be the best bet.
