Subject: Phoenician in Chicago for month of July -- need some 411
I live in Phoenix, but will be in Chicago for the month of July (7/6 to 8/1)

Couple of questions for my BT'ers out there...

(1) I registered for the Harbor Lights tri on 7/16 -- does anyone know if I need to bring my wetsuit???

(2) Thoughts on other good races???

(3) I am staying in Schaumburg (I know, the 'burbs - but didn't have a choice) -- any good ride groups / routes out there???

Welcome to Chicago.  I can help with your first question. 

1) For Harbor Lights the water temp should be in the low 70's.  You probably won't need a wetsuit, but if you can fit one in your luggage it may be worth bringing. 

2) Not sure if you will have a car or not, but there is a decent amount of races in July in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan.  There is Evergreen, Door County, Iron Abe, etc...  Check out the race calendar.

3) I live in the city so I'm not sure what is happening out in the burbs.  A lot of other BTer's live in the burbs so they may know more than me.

I am definitely wearing my wetsuit for Harbor Lights, want everything to be exactly like my so-called "A" race.......the Chicago Intermediate try.
