Are State Parks Closings affecting your race season?

My race that is in a state park is not in one of the parks on the 'mothball list.'  Even the parks that are closed will still be open to hikers and backpackers... it's just that there won't be any forest rangers on patrol, and none of the roads, bathrooms, campgrounds, beaches, parking areas, etc. will be open.  (But hey, it might be a really good chance to get some OWS in by going to the shut-down beaches!  Nobody will be able to get a boat into the water if there isn't any way to drive there, and I bet there would be way fewer recreational swimmers...)

I am SO MAD about the stupid budget, though!  My husband is a state worker -- luckily, his salary comes out of a different pool of money, so he will still be getting paid, but many of his co-workers aren't that lucky.  It sucks that the parks will close, but I really hate to think of all the people working for the state who won't get any money until the pork-o-riffic state government gets its act together.  (And I bet *they* aren't gonna be scrambling to pay any of *their* bills in a couple of weeks...)
