Subject: RE: Kitsap county OWS?I posted the same question here a few weeks ago. Someone suggested Wildcat Lake, apparently there is a group that trains there pretty regularly. I have done Island Lake. Its not bad. There is a lot of lilly pads (?? ) in some places. The area that we went in had a lot of slit in the water for probably the first 15' or so then it was fine. Its not a very deep lake, at least where we were. I thought it was a good one and would go back. It's only about 5 miles from my house so thats a plus. Last week we went to Kitsap Lake. There was a lot of slit/alge there and lots of tall plant life that does come in contact with you. Again, doesn't bother me but one of the guys that I was with didn't like it. I haven't tried any other lakes around yet. Let me know if you find any other good ones or need a training partner. I really need to improve my swim. |
